Normally I hear about these things some time in November or December.
Not much you can do in 6 days, all in all.
Especially since I've not even powered an arduino up, let alone programmed one.

Oh, and Windows playing catch-up? Linux running on an AVR from 2 years ago.

quite easy, the IDE is simple and loads of sample code.
Try arduino.org, Instructables or Hackaday
