Most definitely! I set up a separate SD card with RetroPie, the NES, SNES and GameGear emulators work very well indeed. Not had too much success with some of the others but there's time over Christmas to get it all working

OK - I know what I want to do.

We already have an old PVR which is perfectly acceptable, apart from the fact that we can't watch iPlayer, 4OD and the like. And we also have an excellent (36") but old CRT telly.

So I'm going to try to build the media centre and plonk it on top of the Hummy.

          Yep.

There's a kickstarter project that is in progress now - ignition.io - which does lots of retro gaming as standard, and I think has some kind of online leaderboard / multiplayer thingy coming.

            OK - Bought it!

(But I got it from Amazon in the end).

So I know what I'm doing on Christmas Day!

(Actually I know what Mr C will be doing, after he's complained about me buying it... )

OK! It's turned up - so now I have to get a SCART adapter.

                No probs...

Right. Now I might not get the scart adapter by Christmas, so I'm going to format the SD card out of my camera and attempt to get the ZX Spectrum emulator and Manic Miner running.

First let's get an OS for the card.

If you haven't already found it since you posted, go for the RetroPie installation. It's got a whole bunch of emulators built in, you just need to download the games and ftp the ROMS over to the Pi.

Have you had any problems with overclocking* Danny? I'm not going to bother with the GPIO adapter as I'm hoping that we can use the keyboard to start off with.

*I don't want to overclock it, I just don't want prblems iwth it on setup.
