I personally switch off the avatars and signatures in my settings so I don't care

Signatures in particular annoy me, the people with the longest signature seem to be the ones who post a smiley or the shortest message allowed and I used to find myself spending more time (re)reading signatures than posts.

Quiet gig and personal dislike for companies using numbers instead of words/txt speak in their names.

    Haha, glad you like it!

Your comments remind me of the Twitter announcement earlier this year https://blog.twitter.com/2013/annncng-twttr

Maybe we should vote for a ban on vowels day, but this could prove to be a disaster

    Hello!

    Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum and hope you lovely people will be welcoming and gentle with me - at least to begin with ;o)

I've been a lurker for a while now but an insistent acquaintance has told me to get involved!

Hope your week is going well so far and that we will get to catch up soon.

    Regards

    Esther
