You mean daily mail spam, house price spam etc etc Be nice to have some schlong enlargement or some Nigerian Prince posting on the forums to break up the tedium...

I think they prevent new posters from updating their profile until after 5 posts - it's to stop spammers turning up and messing this place up worse than it already is
