Next he would have pointed out that the termination came from the client/agent, not the umbrella, so you wouldn't sue the umbrella for termination.
There's a few holes in your story that could do with clarification. BTW, a good solicitor will cost you £200-500 per hour, and if you've got a solid case they are worth it. (Such as unpaid invoices for time already worked).
As a contractor, if things go bad at a client, I'm more interested in getting a new contract than wasting my time over termination. If I get paid for the work I have done, I'm happy.
