gmail itself is simply great. Far beyond any paid or corporate email service I've used, for the spam filtering alone.

Wave seems potentially interesting, but actually boring in implementation so far.

And buzz gives me no buzz. I don't like Twitter or Facebook though.

google's IM is actually OK. If you can't install a desktop client it's a decent choice and the fact it merges with email discussions is neat. Having said that, I rarely use it because I don't like browser-based apps and losing the ability to alt-tab.

I sent wave invites to quite a few people on here and we were using it for a short time. It seems to have died a death, not useful for me, slow, pointless, whatever.

Why not move your business account to Gmail as well? Assuming that it's through your own domain, it's a doddle to set up - although much easier to do at the start rather than once it's actually being used properly. Did it with a couple of mine and MrsF's email domains no problem.

I guess, if your company uses apps for domain and have more than 5 people in the company it could be super handy (& cheaper than cisco). Other than that, I can't see individuals using it.

My only Google Wave contacts are MrsF and RealityHack. I've used it precisely 0 times - but did like the Google Wave Cinema version of Pulp Fiction (NSFW).

I can't see the point of Buzz - I already use twitter and facebook, so don't want to start doing a similar thing in yet another format.

Too little, too late - I still love gmail and Google Docs though (although they need to handle bigger .doc files )

I'm quite surprised that Google have gone for this Buzz thing. They usually come up with far more original stuff (even if they do it by buying up other people's creations), but I suppose they have to keep chucking things out and moving forward.

Google Wave, on the other hand, is truly revolutionary. I guess, to use a cliche, it is simply ahead of its time. I've been amazed at the response of so many tech-savvy people who have simply said, "Yeah, I gave it a go, couldn't see any use for it..." Wave has almost limitless uses. You could spend your entire online life inside Wave because you can share absolutely everything through it.

I guess the Wave launch was ever so slightly melodramatic (a 40-minute intro video?) and got a lot of people excited, and then they went into Wave and couldn't actually find anyone to communicate with and it just went flat. But its potential is stunning and I think we'll start finding it being integrated more and more into other applications and websites over time.

Buzz doesn't grab me in anything like the same way, but I'm not into social networking at all anyway.

Tried Google Wave but nobody wanted an invite! So gave up on that. Google Buzz will be a Googleflop IMHO.

I've only used it with 2 mates who happened to be on their gmail at the same time as me.

Interestedly I've had more chat conversations on facebook and I check that on average once every 2 weeks there as I'm on email several times a day.

Is anyone actively using Google wave? Gave it a go but just can't be arsed. Life is too short!
    WHS.

I'm on Google chat but I'm the only person in the world who is it seems, and I just don't grok Google Wave.

I suspect this will go the same way.
