Ta Weltchy. I didn't understand most of that article but got the gist (I think...)

Yep. You could always force the compilation to run as opposed to letting it run in the background. I assume your AV will stop asking to run it once that has occured.

EDIT: Of course, I'm assuming its not some clever virus spoofing as mscorsvc.dll, which your AV hasn't picked up.

.NET Runtime Optimisation Service question

I've had to install the .NET Framework in order to run a particular program occasionally. There was a recent update to the Framework and now F-secure is telling me that the .NET Runtime Optimisation Service is wanting to run in the background all the time, even when this program isn't running.

My PC is getting slower and slower as it is - do I have to allow this thing to run?
