    I've found a second-hand pair on eBay for £35, postage included. The subwoofer is a compromise I'm sure I can live with.

    May buy a pair of Creative T20s from Argos for £68, try 'em then take 'em back and search for a second-hand pair....!

    Move your desk out a bit and put the speaker behind on the floor. I once saw someones setup that had it hanging from the ceiling.

    So in a typical home set up, where do you put a subwoofer?

    I've got my desk against a wall, so putting one on the floor in the middle means I'd end up kicking the thing.
