Dropbox gives you seperate public/private folders.
General public can't just browse your public stuff but you can send them a URL to download a specfic file.
You can also share entire folders with nominated people... although they also need a Dropbox account.
Started using it a few weeks ago to sync PC's and share some files, can't fault it so far. Jumped through some small hoops like introducing a friend etc and got another .5Gb added to the account for free. 2.5Gb is plenty for what I need but if I needed to up the storage I'd happily pay.

Mesh works on Windows Mobile too so you can back up your photos, documents etc, also access your desktop documents from the phone.

Good if you need to show off in a meeting and whip out a powerpoint presentation that you just edited on your desktop.

Mesh is more about the synching/automatic backup, and the remote desktop capabilities.

if Mesh gave you a free 25 gig, there'd be no point in Sky Drive from what I can tell.

Megaupload is better, Rapidshare has a 100MB size limit.

    GMail
Lot's of gigabytes, just set up a separate account and upload files via POP or IMAP and give others the password...

Other than that RapidShare comes to mind - it's very popular with pirates^W potential copyright infringers, so it has got to be good

Works like a charm.... Remote desktop is a bit iffy though.

I have a box.net account that I have got integrated into my LinkedIn profile, however, you can set up a standalone account. Has loads of features like sharing of files etc....
