Dropbox gives you seperate public/private folders.
General public can't just browse your public stuff but you can send them a URL to download a specfic file.
You can also share entire folders with nominated people... although they also need a Dropbox account.

Mesh works on Windows Mobile too so you can back up your photos, documents etc, also access your desktop documents from the phone.
Good if you need to show off in a meeting and whip out a powerpoint presentation that you just edited on your desktop.

GMail
Lot's of gigabytes, just set up a separate account and upload files via POP or IMAP and give others the password...
Other than that RapidShare comes to mind - it's very popular with pirates^W potential copyright infringers, so it has got to be good

Forgot that one... mesh is ideal in my opinion. I have it setup to sync not only my important files between home and work but my favourites as well....
Works like a charm.... Remote desktop is a bit iffy though.

I have a box.net account that I have got integrated into my LinkedIn profile, however, you can set up a standalone account. Has loads of features like sharing of files etc....
