Just wanted to add that on the recommendation of this thread, I downloaded and used Filezilla for the first time today.

FileZilla does everything you need.
And there is also a server version.

However if you want to pay a small fee then FlashFXP is the best, I think it has a lifetime one of fee as well.

Filezilla is not far off FlashFXP, I think it only lacks as a good as queue list editing support.

For a command line utility (useful for scripting), try NcFTP. Available for Windows and the usual *nix varieties.

I bought (yes bought !) a CuteFTP licence about 10 years ago

Can`t beat Filezilla, does what it says on the tin.

Yup, FileZilla has the name, and my list of freebie Windows file transfer apps doesn't include anything else (although I'm sure there must be).
