    No complaints. I think it's still good value even though it's gone up 10 quid since last month. Fine for development, DVDs and BBC iPlayer, which is all I ever ask of it.

    not a bad bit of kit but the XP downgrade is crap though - because I wanted to repartition I couldn't use it. So after getting another (legit) copy, it seems to run ok - I've got XP Pro, XPe, Vista Ultimate, Windows 7 Beta, Suse & Ubuntu all running in it

    I like Acer boxes - I already have one as my main office PC as well.

    That, IIRC, will be an AM2+ processor. The new Phenoms are AM3 chips and are much, much better I think. I'd buy an equivalent Intel Core 2 Duo over that one myself. HTH.
