I pay £15 for 2MB with them and once my exchange is enabled (imminently) then I regrade for the same price. To be fair, they are saying I will get approx 6MB due to distance but I'll take that for the same price as 2 thank you very much!!!

    And yeah, good service...

Freedom2surf - it's the future (apparently!). Hopping up to 8MB soon for 15 squiddlies a month!

Nope - I'm waiting for the 512kb - 1MB uploading speeds to start happening, then I'll bother to do fancier stuff with my website.

I'm dead happy with f2s - don't bother with bulldog unless you're a real masochist...

    Ntl

Quite right that cable modems differ to ADSL modems (BT phone line). If the Actiontec is just a router/firewall/switch then it'll work with NTL assuming you can use a CAT5 type connector between your NTL modem and the Actiontec box. Check the NTL modem doesn't just a have USB connector.
For the future check this site:

    Actiontec

I'm using the Actiontec wireless router with NTL. Not particularly impressed with it but it does work.

1 word of warning, NTL customer services are dreadful!! Worst I've ever come across.

You wil need a cable specific modem. You could always use the NTL modem and put a router on that then connect your it to the router, Thats what I do.

Or all routers are the same?

    Thanks
Cable and telephone modems are different.
