did a bit of messing about and it seems to be working again, I expect it to fail though, see how it goes.
Must admit I know bugger all about DNS.

yea, I'm running znDyn on the server and I can see that it updates zoneedit.com OK but then I try to connect to the URL it only works about 20% of the time.
I suppose it is an alternative to zoneedit I am looking for.
I'm a developer and infrastructure scares me

Running a home server with a changing IP
Need some advice on running a home server on a changing IP address.
Got a domain name and I have ran it to my home server succesfully using zoneedit.com but it has become pretty flakey. MY IP changes so I have to use their client to update the forward when my IP moves. It seems to work then it will not a few hours later.
Does anyone know of an alternative to zone edit for DNS?Tags: None
