    Google Update is a Scheduled Task

    Look in Control Panel->Scheduled Tasks.

    You can disable it or delete it altogether.

    It requires the "FORMAT C:" method of uninstall?
    Nope...that doesn't work.

    I tried it, and restarted the PC with a dos CLI to start the partition process and guess what ? It's still there !!!!

    You can disable the service from msconfig (Start -> Run -> msconfig), and to remove it fully try this.
