    Ah! Found the problem, there was a file index.php:

    <?php
    header("location:https://mysite/index.html");
    ?>

    Dunno why that existed or why it never caused a problem before.

    Cheers woody but same in Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

    Found a redirect checker and it shows a list:
    # URL Code Description Visit
    1 https://www.mysite.org/ 302 Found
    2 https://www.mysite.org/index.html 301 Moved Permanently
    3 https://www.mysite.org/ 302 Found
    4 https://www.mysite.org/index.html 301 Moved Permanently
    etc etc

    Notice the url changes between site and site/index.html in the browser box.

    Might be worth trying a different browser to rule out a browser problem.

    Too many redirects on website

    *****IGNORE - Foundy de problemo!

    A web page that I haven't altered for years and has always worked ok is suddenly showing error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS and I can't find any reason for it. Haven't changed any site settings.

    It is a desktop only page so no alternate mobile version. Tried clearing cookies and commenting out all links to other pages in case one was sending it back again. No redirects in htaccess.

    Any brill CUK ideas on this? You lot are much better than Google. Cheers.
