Both can be linked to your bank accounts, credit cards, etc and will update with new transactions.
Payments will be categorised so you can see how much you spend on hookers, how much on drugs and how much on music.

Closely tied?? Mine aren't. They are completely separate. Freeagent helps with the company money and the wife helps herself to the personal money. Hope that helps.

I use Microsoft Money for my personal accounts, and Excel for my company accounts.

Personal & Company Accounting
Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, not really sure if its a technical or accounting question...
I wanted to know what software (or method) people use to manage their personal finances along with their company finances?
I know the personal and company finances are quite closely tied so I wondered if there was anything better than Excel which could automate some of it for me, link into my bank account, give me fancy graphs on my company and personal spend, etc.
I had a look at FreeAgent and KashFlow however not sure if these are the best ways for personal finance?
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
thanks,
