Tell that to the pimp who is forcing teenage East European girls to engage in prostitution. Tell that the men whose actions will cause the breakdown of families, tell that to society that is on the verge of implosion because the sanctity of the marital bed has been dishonoured. Secularism is the lie of the devil.
Ah - so you did, but got caught

Although thats more likely to put you in IR35 than them, depending on exactly what you pay for

Why can't I be somewhere like that? All I have close to me is a gay and lesbian club. It strikes me that gays and lesbians must have nothing in common, rather like normal men and women but without the sex interest.

The second place I lived in here used to be called the Blue Angel which was a knocking shop before I moved in. It was handy knowing that for when I was a bit pissed I could just tell the taxi driver to take me the the Blue Angel. I've been in a few of the knocking shops in Frankfurt when I've been up there on the razz with mates and missed the last train home. They continue on walking around the train station whicle I just paid me 50DM and had an hours kip....
I remember the first time going into the Sex Inn and the higher up you go the women change colour and the prices chage as well. I got to the top floor and walked into the rrom and there was a nice four poster bed with a young lady lying on it with thigh length leather boots, I then noticed all the whips and other accoutrements of SM around the place so I made my excuses and got out fast.
Just round the corner from where I live the young ladys start standing in the street from about 11:00am doing the business (and I beleive that there is also a knocking shop around there as well.) And a swingers club has just opened up nearby which had an open day a couple of months back.

It is difficult - but not impossible - to be a prostitue legally. If you are under 18 (specifically 16 or 17) then it is illegal in any event - under 16 is obviously illegal for different reasons.
Consitant soliciting is a specific offence - more of a problem for punters than the girls (or boys) in fact.
Ultimately a single prostitue working from a building on his/her own is legal (a lot of others will go unprosecuted). Even the control rules were relaxed a little in 2003/4 - a partner of a protitute is no longer commiting the offence of "living off immoral earnings" if they do not control.
Where there is more than one person providing sexual services for gain (or sometimes not even for gain) it will constitue a brothel. A prostitute can legally work in a brothel, however owning or managing one is illegal.
So, yes prostitution is entirely legal. However a lot of the associated activites are not.
