    ...said the Judge.

It reads as if both sides played fast and loose with their claims and counter-claims. The Judge gave both sides the chance to tighten up their arguments before trying to hear the case again.

No-one came out of that spat smelling of roses...

For what it's worth, I'd be happy to share my view on the various "solutions" in the market. We've seen perhaps a dozen of so suggestions, all arriving with the usual "compliant and approved by QC" message.

HMRC is aware of most of them and has said that they believe they do not work (well they would say that wouldn't they).

On this occasion I would agree with them.

That is not to say that we have a better solution or even a solution at all. We don't.

So if you are desperate to avoid the 2019 charge perhaps a slim chance is better than none, but some of the solutions we've seen will bring substantial trouble in their wake so please, please check carefully and get an independent opinion of anything offered.
Thanks for the feedback. I have a couple of questions so I'll PM you.

The director (Mr Jeremy Clark) also has an interest in Ethos Accountancy Solutions Ltd which until 4th January shared a registered office with Premium Resolution Ltd.

I understand they are associated with (or part of) the "Dark Blue" companies as the people I know have all been referred to them by Dark Blue....

EBT Loan Write Down: Premium Resolutions

    Anyone heard of Premium Resolutions??

A couple of people I know have been passed in their direction to write down existing loans ahead of the planned changes to legislation this April. As far as I know they are associated with another provider that's been around for some years.

I was wondering if anyone had experience of them and/or their solution and if it would be of use to anyone here with a loan exposure. I believe there is a cost incurred and that success is unlikely given HMRC's willingness to use retro legislation!!

    FS.
