Kings cross starts getting busy from 7:30am onwards, so would agree with Bunk on nearer 7.

The Bakerloo line at Paddington is currently shut so anytime is likely to be bad at the moment.

Side question: on a weekday, what time does the underground get properly mental? I'm probably bringing back a guitar and doing the full-on sardine thing with it isn't appealing. If I were to get a tube from Paddington to Kings Cross at 7-8am would I beat the worst of the rush-hour?

What's the cheapest train journey from Durham to Penzance in the summer, returning two weeks after the departure date? Trains should depart no earlier than 9am on either leg of the journey.

It doesn't do what I ask and it's more like a blog for helpful train tips... a useful site though.

In fact, based on London - Cornwall sleeper train | Timetable, fares, tickets for the Night Riviera I'm now considering doing Durham -> London -> Penzance using the sleeper. Looks like I can do this for £80 - which is cheaper than any regular fare I can see - including use of the 1st-class lounge in Paddington.

As much as it pains me to agree with Suity, he's right on this one.

Not sure it does exactly what the original question asked, but it's where I'd start out.

Maybe you should have said that rather than just post a non-descriptive URL with no explanation
