Now is good if you only want one-off things like F1, a few times a year. You need decent internet of course, if Netflix/iPlayer work without problems it should be OK.

I think £10 is a rip-off but you can often find people selling batches of the things on eBay as they are frequently given away in promotions like at Shell garages. I stock up every now and then.

I reckon the Mercedes animosity might fizzle out, they're both a bit polished and media trained compared to drivers in the old days.

Next time out in Canada we get the exact opposite IIRC, overtaking everywhere, lots of pit stops, so that might be fun.

Nice to see Marussia scoring points; I'm increasing starting to wonder why the back two teams even bother - 3/4 years on and they're still always at the back, always a second behind the next cars in qualifying, etc. Maybe this marks a turning point but I'm not betting on it.

The most exciting bit of the "race" was when Lewis got a fly in his eye. But he removed it without incident.

I'm glad I no longer pay Sky for "races" like that.

I reckon I might put next years Monaco grand prix on the bucket list. Or Monza. Or Spa might be easier to get to and I could do that this year maybe.

Actually just googled it. Spa is very doable indeed. I ain't camping though....

What are you complaining about then?

Fortunately I still get the F1 channel with the £35pm HD subscription.

Surely you contractors can afford Sky? If you've chosen not to have it then you've chosen not to see the Monaco GP live, so why are you moaning?

he is quite annoying. It would be nice to have a choice of audio tracks so you can switch commentary off completely.

Not to mention that their customer service was tulipe and the boxes tended to fail willy nilly. They initially charged me £90 to have some bloke come around and plug a box into an existing dish. I got through five boxes in three years because their cheap tulipty power supplies kept failing. Three of those failed in the same week and all were second hand ones that had been previously repaired. One of them had the repair sticker over the ventilation holes where the fan was and lasted less than an hour. And this was after I had to threaten to leave in order to get a new one out of them, initially they expected me to pay it!

I was happy to see the back of their satellite service TBH.
