SAP = Systeme, Anwendungen und Produkte in der Datenverarbeitung' (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing)
....of course there are other less official interpretations.

supply and demand
Not that you should be worried but I worked with some Indians some time ago who arrived with their "learner packs" from their overseas company. They had SAP, Oracle, etc. beginners guides. Very decent beginners guides they were too (probably better than GCSE level).
It is amazing how the Indians (and soon to be Chinese) can just keep churning out bodys with their learners pack ... About 2 out of 5 are any good (in my opinion). The others seem to spend all day on boards asking "how do I do ...".
As always, the good contractor should survive.

That's what they want you to believe.
Did you find a hotel in Cardiff Mordy?

Traditional coding isn't necessarily where the cash is. BW is in high demand at the moment as are quality Basis folk. Plus XI is a hugely growing market and not that much competition.Originally posted by MarillionFan"I assume it's as a programmer that you want to get into SAP rather than a Basis/functional consultant?"
Show me the money. SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
