I remember last summer. Wife was really ill, had just had baby. I'd just started a gig 90 mins drive away and they wanted me to do 12 hour shifts. So coming home every night wasnt really possible (although I did so this some nights).
I think we all do fella as I'm pretty sure you mentioned it on here a couple of times.
Cant believe how much shes wound me up mind. Think he main issue is that she went away the weekend and expected to be treated like royalty.
Reality was, since we have a small baby, and we're in a caravan there is some degree of sorting stuff out etc so everyones got to help out a bit even if its just watching the baby for 5 (which she made plainly obvious she didnt want to do).
Mrs tells me stories of how when she was younger, and she used to go camping, her Dad would struggle in the pissing down rain on his tod putting the tent up whilst her mother would sit in the car reading her book only to emerge when it was all done. Sod that. If you got young kids then someones got the kid minding task but other than get out and help.
Unfortunately, he passed away 10 years ago and I think MIL thinks its kids duty to take over that role. i.e. she gets everything done for her. Over the years since, wife has realised exactly what her dad did for her mother and it was literally everything.
Tempting I must admit. But got to think of the bigger picture and think of the mrs.
Personally, I think the woman is the most immature, childish, and selfish person I've ever met. Its always all about what she wants and how she thinks her kids should treat her. Basically, they've all got to run around and do exactly what she says.
Wife falls for it most of the time but then does explode from time to time. I do like it when that happens mind.
My mum is exactly like that. Wants her children to run around her and basically wants my wife to do all the chores around the house. Its resulted in a fair few bust ups. Its pretty annoying.

Just tell her exactly what you think. The MIL ain't been round since I did.

What weird people you all are, interacting with in laws. Occasionally putting up with one's own relatives should be more than enough punishment for anyone.
Tell me about it. Not saying my own father is faultless mind - he can be extremely hard work. A weekend away with him is enough for me.

Yep wife and MIL have had their fair share of arguments. I can see this one heading this way. Happened like this last summer.
To be fair, MIL is normally OK just mildly irritating. But at times like this she does prove that she really is the most selfish person in the world.

Luckily, MIL at the time offered to stay over a few nights a week to help at first. Then she had one of her moods, decided she was being taken advantage of and decided she wasnt coming after all.
Nealy had to bin the gig. Ended up driving home most nights making it 15-16 hour day. Will probably never forgive MIL for that one and the upset she caused. Mrs could hardly walk up stairs and MIL left her alone like that for 2-3 weeks all day just to prove a point.
Ended up in big argument. Shes ok then for a few months and then slips back into her old ways like now.
Errrr. You were the one that left your missus on her own, not your MIL.
