    Bloody spineless Londoners!

Why not just put your furniture outside your front door with a price tag, like we used do in the old days?

Or do you all live in Peckham?

    They wouldn't tell me!

It happened immediately after I had put up for auction a "date with myself" as a (joke) attempt to get some female action. My mate Jim bid 1p, and the next thing I knew is they had pulled the item, and me.
Apparently it was "adult services", and is not allowed. Hmmm..

Maybe I should have put on a higher reserve

    +1

Or even bumping up your bid with another account and panicking when you are still the highest bidder with an hour to go like was yesterday

Why don't you take your old tat down to the local charity shop, and let them sell it, instead of trying to Ebay it. You won't make any money, but is is a lot less hassle than ebay, and you get the sense that you are contributing to good causes.

Shame to see them go as one of them is the Reynolds steel frame I used to ride around on in my student days.

We've only sold big items on eBay and it was strictly cash and collection only. Saves having to deal with all the piss takers who want a courier service but won't pay for it etc.

Are there any alternatives to ebay that I can use? Something like the old Ad-mags that I've used in the past? What's Gumtree like?
Sold my car on Gumtree, advert went up at 10pm on the Saturday, motor was gone (for 50 quid less than my asking price) by the next day at 6pm, very happy with the service.
