I use it occasionally but I'm one of those sad gits who believes in actually going into a shop and having a personal encounter with the shop assistant. I particularly believe in my local little shops and very often they're cheaper and if I do have a problem, I just need to pop around the corner. I find Amazon okay for those hard to find things plus its a bit difficult buying presents for the family and trying to explain what the package is that has just been delivered...

Amazon has stopped free delivery to the Netherlands and I'm peed off big time!

Use Amazon a fair bit although I brought a dehumidifier at a local hardware store last summer and it was cheaper than I could find on the internet after adding postage.

You get lots of discounts if you subscribe. I think it was under £7 on Amazon and around £11 at Tesco.Originally posted by psychocandy View Postso how much cheaper than say asda are they?

I love Prime - I have two children in nappies.

You can also have multiple Prime addresses, so I have e.g. my parents. If they want stuff, I order it, it gets delivered to them next day and free of charge. They send me the money. everyone wins.

One other cool feature is that you can invite other people at your address (I think only at your address anyway) to use your Prime too, so your wife doesn't have to buy your gifts from your own account... I invited my Amazon business account which is a real boon as I prefer buying work stuff separately.Originally posted by Qdos Consulting View PostI tried but annoyingly it only seems to be available for actual Kindles, whereas I use the Kindle app on my iPad.
Sadly though, your invitees cannot access Instant Video or Lending Library, only the free delivery.

I looked when we first tried Prime out but couldn't see any books I actually wanted. That was a couple of years ago though; if it's better that could add real value.

Barstewards stopped doing free super saver delivery to cloggers
Consider most of the cook books I order are pretty heavy it saved a fortune and English language books here in cloggers are well expensive.
