    An annulus

    You have two of them. One sitting on top of the other. Each annulus has a circular randomly placed holes of the same size throughout but different quantities. Say one has 3 and the other 5 holes.

    Something like this:



    The question is, what is the function that would determine the probability a hole in each would align?
