Is that the same as an elevator?

I sometime use the elevator to go down a floor to the restroom. Gives me a chance to sit on the can and read applicants resumes before booking my vacation.

People who rudely barge past on escalators are rather irritating, but it's worth remembering that outside of big cities people aren't au fait with the etiquette to stand on one side and walk on the other.

One place I worked had a group of 'Offshore Resources' over for a 3 week stint. They invariably took the lift both ways even though they couldn't all fit in it in one go. That was a single floor as well.

Probably several chocolattes (extra sugar) inside him. But otherwise, none that I could see

    Aren't they the same thing?

A lift has to go down otherwise it can only be used once.

You do know they do it on purpose?

Probably let rip a good fart on the way down. Was he mumbling about drinking champagne in the morning in an American accent?
