I have hand fed a tiger once. It was awesome, we were inside the locked cage with a thick grill between us and the tigers. At one point the main keeper dropped some meat on the floor and the tiger put his claw through the grill and started rattling it. I noticed how the entire grill was shaking and cautiously asked the keeper:
MUN: "Erm ... can he pull the grill down?"
Keeper: "Good lord, yes!"
MUN: "Oh right - I mean WHAT? Why are we locked in here at feeding time then?!"
Keeper: "He won't kill us, he knows he won't get fed tomorrow if he does that"
MUN: "Bollocks - all he knows is that he is hungry and we are edible!"

Yes, but not the sort that would bite your face off if you didn't get up and feed them in the morning.
