Goodness I'd be embarrassed to pull that ugly thing out of my pocket at the client's site.

What no 120fps HD movie mode? I'm out...

I haven't upgraded for about 18 months, but having seen a few people with the HTC One and the S4 I prefer the HTC. Looking at previews of the S5 and upcoming HTC it looks like similar differences - Samsung having a bit more technical shizzlewhiz, but the HTC just seeming better somehow.

I think I might go for the HTC One 2 (or M8 or whatever they call it) when it comes out, but I'll wait for the full details.

Well, based on the hype and speculation (a premium metal & a non-premium plastic version, as one example of rumours - they seem to have stayed with plastic btw) I was expecting something a bit 'wow' tbh...or is it a case that we're all expecting just too much with each new version, and smartfone technology has reached a ceiling & the 'wow'ing is over?

Isn't about time they went all retro and released tablet sized phones

These incremental upgrades are getting a bit stale, they're isn't a compelling reason to upgrade till your phone is too slow to run the latest apps
