Inspired by comments about soft-boiled eggs. Has anyone else ever had coddled eggs? Used to have them as a child, basically you soft-boil an egg or two but then scoop it out into a little bowl and mush it up with a bit of salt, and eat with bread and butter.
Is it a regional thing maybe?
Yeah, they're great. I often have these, lovely when they're slightly underdone. Nice when they're spiced up with a bit of sambal oelek.
