Until I waded in it was just a random post referring to someone as "Pedo". It wasn't until PrickTock had to respond to me that he gave context.
Irgo I got him off the hook, the ungrateful little swine.
Ergo
You're welcome.

And I didn't create the thread for you. I created the thread to tell people about a soil scientist who had difficulty starting a new job. I'm not sure why that needs context or getting off any hooks.

I Work With a Pedo
New guy started a while ago.
We gave him the H&S policy and required reading, expecting it to take him about 30 minutes. It took him a week, which he spent doing nothing, except whinging about not having a login yet. He didn't understand that we need him to complete the H&S before we can let him get to work.
Day 4 he was late in, but still tried to claim for the time.
Day 5 we try to include him by inviting him to a meeting where we showcase community projects that are close to the heart of some of our staff. He got snotty about it. It's not like anyone asked him to get involved, we just thought it might be nice for him to meet some of the people he'd be working with.
Day 6 he got a login. He still did **** all.
Then, despite taking a week to read the H&S policy, in one day he managed to breach it twice. What a loser.
The following day this pissant little web developer manages to piss off the whole team by bursting into a meeting with an iPad to moan that "the pictures look all blurry".
Why did this guy not read the H&S policy like we asked? He's since seen fit to moan about safety precautions put in place for the stairwells.
Showing that his initial lack of team spirit wasn't a fluke, he's rebuffed every opportunity to work with others, especially those in other roles with specialisations that he does not himself possess.
Finally, he's shown that he can't even work doors. Seriously, this moron spent 20 minutes standing in a revolving door, shouting that "the pod won't open", while ignoring the "Push" sign and straining with all his might to turn the carousel the wrong way.
Why do we employ these people? We need people who are experts in the study of soil here, and I work with such an expert, but this guy ain't him.Last edited by Ticktock; 18 February 2014, 14:35.Tags: None
