Racist, homophobic, ageist and elitist. That's pretty much an accurate character profile just there

(excluding the ageist bit, I find that offensive )

My old street has 266 people of which 266 are of white ethnic group, no same sex and 261 born in the UK. Mind you, property prices seem to have gone up, I sold property there in 2002 for GBP115,000 and is now going for GBP237,000. Should have held out

StreetCheck pulls together in-depth information about local areas across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with Scotland data coming soon.

Edit: Apparently the Scottish data has to be sourced separately (devolution, innit) and the Scots aren't being particularly helpful. Doesn't sound like the Scots on this board!

Crime and house prices are also in the pipeline

If you're thinking of moving to an area, then some of the demographics would be of interest - e.g. likely facilities for kids / old people, employment stats etc. If you're thinking of moving to a gated community executive home in the middle of a tuliphole, then I guess that stats might not reflect your immediate neighbours, but still of interest.
in which case it misses a pile of data that would be useful (crime rates...).. The strange bit is that it gives me less information in a longer winded format than acorn gives me its 1 of 17 categories. It shows a little bit of potential but still doesn't match the information upmystreet provided before Zoopla bought and destroyed it.
