We had three groups come around, all with parents in the background. Then it started pnissing it down, so I will polish off the remainder of the moams myself.

Quite a few of them.
I used to play a lot of horror LARP games and have run scores of horror table top RPGs so I have stacks of props, makeup, costumes etc. I usually set the porch up with props, a smoke machine, sound effects and wear a elaborate costume complete with a voice distorter but toned it down this year as I was just not feeling in the mood.
My kids had a great time trick or treating and loved being allowed to stay up late eating sweets.

The benefit of being in a hotel, Battlefield 4 after midnight and no annoying kids knocking at your door

Around 20-25 knocks last night. A little down on last year I think.

For the 4th year in a row, nobody. There isn't a single family living on our street though... if there was they'd be middle-class kids trick-or-treating with their parents rather than clots of working-class kids out on their own.

No knockers here either. Leaving 3 bags of sweets that need consuming.

Not a single knock tonight.
Guess I don't get to use the new supersoaker this year.
