One winter was travelling by train from Munich to Bonn; I had a real bad cold and the only way to relieve the symptoms was drinking Jagermeiseter. I drank a whole bottle and felt much better.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostCould one glass of Jägermeister after my evening meal explain why I'm so dreary this morning?

No its not. Actually there are many of these types of frinks in Germany ranging from Ünderberg (******* disgusting) through to Fernet Branca (even orange and mint flavour) via a lot of local variations of krauterschnapps. When we drink it, it has to be ice cold and served in frozen shot glasses (some bars have machines to keep the temperature down to a -20) and then downed in 1. The Americans like to mix it but these mixtures tend to be disgusting although we did invent our own one which is hald a glass of Jägermeister topped up with some condensed milk which I like to call a German Baileys, most people hate it!Originally posted by amcdonald View PostI thought only teenagers drink the stuff, it's like the German equivilent of buckie
