So we have to pretend that factories in the developing and third world are wondrously happy places where workers' rights and elf and safety come first now? Ludicrous.

Doesn't that sound like the sort of organisation that Winston Smith would have had a problem with?

If the tweet is racist, it's racist in the context of generalising/stereotyping. That brand of racism is generally due to stupidity/misplaced attempts at humour/thoughtlessness, and rarely due to 'hate'.

My view is that it's more a dig at Apple than at the Chinese. Fruitist.

It seems though that the Mail have gone a bit overboard, once again (apparently Sugar had a bit of a dig at them recently.) The woman never actually made an official complaint but the police wanted, in fact made, her follow it up. They're the idiots here...

    Political correctness gone mad.
No-one thought that it might be a dig at the dark underside of Apple.

I fear he might be posting more on the subject.
You know how it is, once you've tweeted a chinese joke, twenty minutes later you want to tweet another one.

Lord Sugar faced police racism probe after joking on Twitter that crying Chinese boy was upset 'because he was told off for leaving the production line of the iPhone 5'
Apprentice star's tweet offended Nichola Szeto, who spoke to police
The post showed an image of a crying Chinese child wearing a watermelon
He joked that the child was told off for leaving an iPhone 5 production line
Police investigated but took no further action
    Racist or just rank?

    Offended or MF,MF,MF?
