    Headache pills are a different matter. They are meant to provide pain relief, not satisfying eating, and the natural options have side effects that are best avoided.

    What exactly is shocking about "a slurry of rice, wheat, corn, and potato flakes"? Cake is made by baking a slurry of flour, eggs, sugar, etc. Single malt whisky is certainly made from a nasty slurry.
