    Get a cat that looks like a kitten but more importantly likes people.

    One of my neighbours' cat just bites people if you come close, another just runs away from people while a third is happy for people to stroke and pet him so people don't mind him around. He's the cat who would end up being fed or taken in from heavy rain/snow if his owners weren't around.
