This is the kind of confused thinking that illustrates why outplacement is an outdated process driven model, whereas Throughplacement is the result orientated framework for every forward-thinking professional looking to succeed. We are exactly the kind of disruptive emergent business model that leaves yesterday's men lashing out in fear.

Its a full time job as you are fully aware.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostNothing to do with me - honest.
Though it is a good scheme I'm so glad you keep up with government legislation......
As I business partner I wasn't sure if throughplacement was an appropriate name. I felt that pocketplacement (where we explicitly admit to emptying your pockets of all money on a regular basis) was a more suitable name.

Although we had a top QC opinion, the Max 120 scheme is now discontinued.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostNothing to do with me - honest.

We are very much focusing on Throughplacement which aligns better with our corporate values.

I got a surprising number of PM enquiries about the Oude Joris Max 120 Netherlands Antilles payment scheme.

I'll do it for you.Originally posted by jlharris View PostI have been given funding from my soon to be previous employers to put towards outplacement/career coaching services. I've never done anything like this so don't really know the first place to look. Has anybody ever used any companies that provide this and have any thoughts on them?
Thanks.
How hard can it be to do this? A lot of what these people do is state the obvious and send your CV out to recruitment businesses. Even I can do that.

I call the model 'Throughplacement'. For some clients, this practical approach fits their personal objectives better than a life coach / mentor. You know this is gonna get bumped in a few years asking if you're still offering the service and whether there's a form of visa sponsorship attached.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostMore pertinently, you're a winner and everyone's a winner with Throughplacement.
Don't be outplaced. Be Throughplaced.

I'll have to check what exactly the money could go towards. The focus of the meeting was on outplacement though.Originally posted by Contreras View PostNot what you asked, but is the money also available for skills retraining?
If so, how about a PRINCE2 qualification or similar? It might not be something you'd consider wast^h^h^h^h spending the money on if it was your own, but your never know what value a hiring manager/agent will see in it or the doors it could help open having it listed it on the CV. I'd actually consider this more so for non-PM roles but only if someone else was paying! Just a random thought...
Otherwise there are CV writing services (also not what you asked), find one that comes recommended and understands the contract market. I'm not going to do free advertising here for a service I haven't used personally but PM if you want details of such a service I consider faintly plausible.
Thanks for your help.

That is impressive. From what I have heard, the success rate of people who do this seems surprisingly high. This is the website isn't it? w ww.emptyboxltd.co.uk/home.htm - Empty Box Ltd - FMCG, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Recruitment, Staffing Solutions for FMCG companiesOriginally posted by Gruffalo View PostHello. A serious reply I am ashamed to say.....
Google emptybox - Peter really knows his stuff. I went from 4 failed interviews to 3 job offers in a week. Pm me if you like.
I know the website doesn't always mean a lot but this looks very good in comparison http:// renovo.uk.com/approach/for-individuals/ - For Individuals - Renovo
Thanks for the useful feedback I've had so far.
