Godzilla charges for all travel from his home in Tokyo. The travel costs for the distance involved are astronomical. He really doesn't like travelling.

If you read the transcribe from the bridge that evening the chuckle brothers are more sensible.

(My dad is currently reading them as part of a review on safety within Cruise Ships). I'm sure he goes on cruises now just to see how good the complementary upgrade is.

The mucky line on the ship is now a couple of metres out of the water. It's all going quite slowly, but hopefully that rather attractive cove will be spared any oil slicks.
