Sorry to hear that BP, no fun at all. Still, make sure the recovery goes well.Originally posted by BrilloPad View Post
I had my knee op. 1 day later I suffered a huge internal blood loss. whole leg got swollen. its taken 2 weeks to calm down. Long recovery ahead - very depressing. But at least I can walk more than 100 metres now!

The wife must be a munter.
In town for a cheeky 3 month money maker whilst they find a permie for the role, which I hope they don't. New house needs a bit of money and time spent on it.

How's the wife's aunt?Originally posted by Old Hack View PostSpent the summer mooching around south west and western france, fell back in love with the place again, although the chances of me camping again are best described as 10% of fook all. We camped, stayed in gites, hotels, and even those static caravans and nothing beats the gites, especially with a pool. I am so genuinely delighted we cannot sell our house, as this was the plan, but now I want to keep it, which means changes to the bigger plan, but hey ho.
New contract starts on Monday too, they wanted me to start tomorrow, but I only got back yesterday and I think I need to spend the rest of the time washing; I cannot believe how grimy you get camping.
