Watched Track 29 (1988) in my lodgings last night, and it was amazing.

I'd had it kicking around for a while, but never watched it until now as I didn't like the sound of the incest references on the cover. But without wanting to give anything away, that is misleading.

Screenplay was by Dennis Potter, and it starred among others Theresa Russell, Gary Oldman, and Christopher Lloyd. Highly recommended.

Read the books as a boy, loved the earlier films but this Hobittisess series is not good IMO.

Just regurgitating the same formula from Lord of the Rings.

Agree. If they'd done Hobbit first and then LotR as films it'd probably be a different story. It's a good reminder how good the LotR films were though I suppose, and that The Hobbit really is a much simpler story for children, not just a prequel.
