Can you repeat that please ?Originally posted by RedSauce View PostI went along a few weeks ago, the lady looked in my ear and said there was no wax to remove. Then asked me a few questions and explained why my hearing was going and recommended I go see an ENT specialist as suspected I had something (forgotten the name). As there was no wax, she didn't charge me.

Speaking to a chemist recently confirmed this view to me.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostWell New Labour decided to make GP's look cool. No longer were they required to diagnose and cure anymore. All they had to do was just "see" X number of patients a day. Over the past decade or so GP's have become adapted to the New Labour way of working, prescribe anti depressants, anti biotics and painkillers to everybody who comes in and rake in hundreds of thousands a year. If a painkiller they prescribed killed a few of the mugs who cares ? GP's arent accountable anyway. Half the country is on anti depressants. My wife is a dentist and every other person who turns up is on some kind of pill or other. WTF ? Its like the nation is on drugs now.

A distant friend was diagnosed with a hernia and prescribed Paracetamol. A year later the pain got worse so he went to A&E, he has a cancerous tumour.

this has me thinking. my daughter has hearing problems, some sort of genetic thing. but if this could improve her hearing , even slightly, I would go for it
