Yep, definately a correlation of interview number/length vs how good the gig will be.
The more onerous the process the happier I am when I don't get offered it.
The best line I've had in feedback was we like you and your CVm but you've not done many jobs longer than a year or so. We like our staff to stay a long time with us......

If I am being treated like some permie biatch at interview stage it's time to sayOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostEither he's withdrawn from the role, or is all mouth and no trousers and comes bleating on here before backing down and doing a meeting with the client.
Which do you think it will be?Originally posted by suityou01 View PostInteresting. Just had a call from the consultancy (note, not the agency). Very apologetic, saying that their hands are tied as they want me but have to present two candidates to ClientCo, and that ClientCo has a pretty unflexible calendar.
Yada yada yada, but the effort was made to reassure me. For that reason, I'm back in.

Best contracts I've had have been ones done on the basis of a phone interview. Alarm bells always ring with me when you do a face-to-face and some techie starts expecting you to know obscure stuff their system used.
Current gig was ok. Turn up for recruitment afternoon. Basically just two hours sitting around with 5-6 other candidates finding out about the gig and being 'looked at'.
They did name badges for everyone with the 'role' you were lined up for. I did note I was the only one for my role. :-)
