got some plastic ones of these in the pound shop (remember I'm a permie)
Amazon.com: Aqua Globes AG011706 Glass Plant Watering Bulbs, 2-Pack: Patio, Lawn & Garden
work a treat constantly watering them for ~ 2 days, now my chillies are big enough to keep NLYUK satisfied (she says they also sort the itching).

If they are just pollinating each other and are next to each other, can't you just blow them with a hairdryer or something to simulate wind

It's not mould, it's sealant
we only had the blooming things put in a few months ago.
BobSpud -
these have been grown indoors, apart from hardening off, from march.
I made the mistake of planting six pots at the same time, so they all fruited together. next time, I will plant one a week.
They are grown on the windowsill, on the sunny side of the house, so they are mostly in shade, with the odd hour of direct sun.
It's important to hand pollinate, because indoor plants may not get visited by natuaral pollinators. To hand pollinate, nip one mature flower off a plant, and push it against every mature flower on the other plants. This is how plants shag.
Then I flick the stem once, this sends a shower of pollen from the plant, which drifts around the house, unseen.
I then dry them, as per the photo. I put one in a big pan of chille, or a pan of scouse.

If you are after mould remover /preventer
I've used the paint additive for an en-suite - and can recommend
This to remove
This to prevent - just mix with paint for any walls such as bathrooms to stop it forming (obviously no use for window frames)

Yes looks nice EO, my wife would love it. She has a big thing about cul de sacs/small modern estates.
Nice peppers, I am popular with the yummy mummies with my home grown chillies, mine make your lips go numb which to me is a sign of a good breed. The chillies are good as well.
'Astonish' mould killer is pretty good.

I'd like to grow chillies. Do they prefer direct sun or a bit of shade... we have hooks outside the kitchen window which I can only assume are for hanging a window box.
