I'll try but to be fair sometimes my sockies seem to take on a life of their own.
Mmmphh mmmm oh no.. mmpmmff .. can't ... stop.. myself.. mmnmnmmp....
Didn't NLYUK teach you not to talk with your mouthful? As she says its disrespectful to your punter!
Time to retire this sockie SAS, its getting a bit boring and to be frank.

Its just over an hour with no traffic i.e. 6am. Quite a bit more at other times. Part of the problem is the shift work.
Yeh, probably get used to. Might not be so practical when 12 hour shifts come around shortly.
You're right though. Mrs is happy for me to stay over but I would feel a bit guilty.
On the plus side, had a good plan for next week. Staying in our caravan next week near site. So I get to drive less (20 miles), spend some time with family also. Even agreed to her mother going as well so she'll fine when I'm out at work.
I am sure your imaginary missus will be very happy for you to stay over, so that the milkman can get a leg over.

A stopover, due to a one hour each way drive? Are you crazy? I think a one hour commute is pretty much average for most people. Even living in the South East, most places in London were an hour and more away. I used to drive to and from Newport from Somerset, which was an hour each way (if the gods were looking down kindly).
Get a doppla espresso down your neck, a good radio station and you're laughing. I did a couple of hours driving the other day without realising it as the radio show I was listening to was so good (Flintoff's Ashes). It's easily done PC. I'd wear it for the 7 weeks, as I reckon your wife needs you about at home now.
I usually like 5live but its crap at 5am in the morning. Breakfast show aint even started and all you get is 'wake up to money' :-(
But then you get Richard Bacon at 3pm when I leave.
