    They'd save more lives by closing down the Greggs and assorted fast-food places in the area.

    It doesn't detail their options though. If it is a 50 mile trip to some other hospital that is still covering up their statistics and go through all this again when the news breaks. Sometimes better the devil you know and a bit of 'well they haven't killed me so it must be ok' attitude will keep it open

    They want to close Stafford hospital because its still tulip and killing people even after they've tried to fix it.

    However the locals would prefer to risk death rather than travel to somewhere safer
