    Wikipedia seems to explain it fairly well. I did think for a moment he was Lord Volderm... I mean the Vanyard.

    In the Sarah Jane Adventures, the Doctor said he had over 200 regeneration. Of course, the Doctor lies.

    Either before William Hartnell, so the 1st doctor, or between McGann and Ecclestone, which is probably a high single-digit doctor - can't be arsed to count them.
