Yeah, cost me around 150 notes and was money well spent because I couldn't be arsed with the whole business myself.

Yep, I have. Think it cost me about 50 quid, they reorganised my CV and wrote the weasely, self-promoting words that I wouldn't have had the balls to invent write.

Contractor CV review - why get your CV reviewed? :: Contractor UK

There is a link on this article here with a Free CV Review.

I am sure they will upsell you to rewrite your CV but the CV is your key self promotion tool so worth an investment IMO from one of the pro companies.

    Hi Nibblypig,

I'll break with long standing tradition on the this forum and offer some helpful advice.... (Just try not to tell the regulars!)

I was sceptical about these services myself as I thought my CV was in decent shape having previously spent a lot of time on it. But I put it into the following service after having had them reccomended and need to admit the CV they sent me was WAY better than the one I sent them.

They are called CVWrite and have a UK website of the same name. It was a bit steep at £150 for the full rewrite service but it was money well spent as far as I'm concerned.

They offer a free review and then obviously charge for any work after that. But I'd thoroughly reccomend them and no I'm not on commission or a troll.

    Cheers,
    Alan

But don't worry about 'only 2 pages' - I reckon that 3 pages is a good number for a CV.

I improved my CV though advice I found on this forum IT Contractor CV Writing: CUK's IT Contractor CV Template :: Contractor UK http://www.contractoruk.com/cv/what_..._an_agent.html, then had it reviewed by some of the regulars on here.

It only cost me a few beers
