I don't think most minorities do. Unfortunately the policies on such issues don't seem to be decided by the sensible majorities of minorities. We still get stuck with them, hence the necessary inclusion of minor figures like Mary Seacole in the national curriculum.

Also there were a more than a few polish pilots in the RAF during battle of Britain, and the poles did quite a lot of foundational work on cracking the enigma code before Poland fell. There is a reason we have a polish war memorial in north london.

It annoys me when people whinge about the polish, all of the ones I've met are bloody hard working and round my way I see quite a few polish builders vans because they've started their own businesses and are doing well.

Apologies for the rant but it really annoys me how some people with no grasp of history want to demonise people that quite honestly we should be welcoming with open arms.

When I studied the 2nd World War we learnt about letting Poland down.

When I studied the 2nd World War we learnt about letting Poland down. Plus in some places in the UK there is an older Polish immigrant population and one of my teachers was 1st generation, so we learnt why "they" were over here.
