    Aircraft are so quiet these days that old and miltary ones seem very loud now.
    Could be this (or similar), although it's very rare -

    BBC News - Sonic boom over Yorkshire caused by Typhoon jet from RAF Coningsby

    Concorde didn't fly supersonic over land in service.
